We have booked our trip to Madagascar through Evaneos, which got us in contact with Gassytours. All our wishes were fulfilled by Josette, who planed and organized the whole trip for us. She got us in contact with Radou, who was au driver & guide for our two-week trip through Madagascar. He was fluent in german and had deep knowledge about the Madagascan culture, nature and other topics. He knew pretty much everything about different plants and animals, the different tribes of Madagascar and its politics and tourism. He was also a good driver and always gave us the feeling of being in good hands. His car, which he just recently purchased, should receive a special mention: it was new and very comfortable. Especially the air conditioning was very handy during the hot days. All in all, the car made the longer drives up to 10 hours more pleasing. Radou accompanied us on all our excursions, in which he helped us by translating some of the words and meanings from the local guides. To sum up, we were perfectly happy with Radou as our guide, we could not have wished for a better guide for our trip. Pretty much all our hotels on our trip were amazing and welcoming. The only hotel which we were not completely happy was the one in the rainforest “Ranomafana national park”, which was missing mosquito nets. Other than that, we would recommend all the hotels we had during our two-week trip. Overall, we are happy that we booked our trip through Evaneos and Gassytours. We cant imagine to have had it better planed and organized. We want so say a special thank you to Josette and Radou for giving us these amazing weeks in beautiful Madagascar

“Our trip to Madagascar was perfectly planned and organized by local travel agent Josette. During the planning, Josette responded promptly and very professionally to all questions and requests for changes. We were already picked up at the airport by her and our driver and guide Laza. Laza showed himself to be a prudent and experienced driver throughout the trip, responding to “special requests” at any time. He told us a lot about the land, people, flora and fauna. The hotels were obviously very carefully chosen (we would all book again at any time), the routes were chosen in such a way that the respective stage of the day was relaxed despite the road conditions. The trip already started very nicely - our guide (Rado) gave us a very friendly and warm welcome. After the first night, we met Josette, who planned our trip. She also welcomed us very warmly and summarised the trip for us again - in addition we received a folder with a map and documents and a very nice pen! The trip was perfectly planned from start to finish. Thank you again for that! All accommodation was good to very good, especially the hotels in 'Manakara', 'Sahambavy' and 'Ifaty'. Rado was always with us during the trip, explained and showed us a lot. We were able to learn a lot about the culture and people of Madagascar during this time. He always took very good care of us! Our travel highlights were: the canoe trip on the canal in Manakara followed by a barbecue, the national park in Ranohira, whereby all 3 of the visited national parks were beautiful and we had lots of experiences, the market in Antsirabe, the Zebu market as well as the bicycle tour in Ambalavao, the meeting with the locals where Rado always supported us. We also want to thank you again for all the nice surprises for our anniversary! The trip was simply wonderful and Madagascar is definitely a country we will visit again with the help of Josette, Rado and GassyTours... because we are still missing the north! Thanks for the wonderful time to Rado and Josette and see you next time.

From the beginning, it was a trusting cooperation until the right itinerary was ready, with patience and good ideas we were supported by the agency. When it comes to landscapes, we can recommend all of them - Madagascar really has a little bit of everything with the exception of snow, which we could just enjoy. We had an experienced tour guide/driver who was very knowledgeable about cultural features in each area. The hotels were also well chosen except in one hotel. Only French is spoken there and there is no Internet connection in and the equipment only partially corresponds to the brochure of the house.
